Grand Worthy Advisor Visits Pittsburgh Assemblies

On February 13 and 14 the Grand Worthy Advisor, Sister Danielle Dunmire, headed west to visit Pitcairn Assembly No. 90 and Mars Assembly No. 124. Danielle soon learned that she wasn't in for some simple official visits however!

On Saturday, February 13, Pitcairn Assembly hosted Danielle at the Carnegie Science Center and Sports Works where her climbing abilities were put to the test of the rock wall. Props go out to Pitcairn Assembly for planning such a fun Official Visit!

Following this exciting visit Sister Danielle stopped by Mars Assembly No. 124 for a worship service, followed by an oustanding meal prepared and served by the Advisory Board. That wasn't everything though! Many soon realized that dessert hadn't yet been served, but worrying was unnecessary! Mrs. Bea Green of the Mars Advisory Board instructed the members on how to decorate cakes with some hands on fun. The young ladies learned how to make roses, color fondant, and how to decorate cupcakes as animals! The Sisters then put their new skills to work to decorate 150 cup cakes for residents of a local nursing home! What a way to end the day!

Sister Danielle would like to send out a special thank you to all the members of the Assemblies that she visited for such a wonderful couple of days!
