GWA Traverses PA for Rainbow
Group

June was certainly a busy month for PA Rainbow, and it kept our Grand Worthy Advisor, Danielle Dunmire, on her toes!

First, Danielle attended the Job's Daughters Grand Session held at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry, PA from June 17 to 20, 2010. There, Danielle got a chance to hang out with the young ladies of Job's Daughters, and talk about how the two organizations could work together in the future. The highlight of the trip was when Danielle won the centerpiece at the banquet.

The GWA wouldn't remain in Western PA for long though, as she was soon whisked off to York to attend the Order of the Eastern Star Grand Chapter. Along with Cecee Madonna (of Job's Daughters.) There they served as Grand Pages to Mrs. Shirley Capo, the retiring Grand Worhty Matron. In a drill to honor Mrs. Capo, and the other Grand Officers, Danielle donned a flamingo hat, to the amusement of many.

With Eastern Star winding down, Danielle headed for Patton Campus for a work day before attending the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Masonic Villages at Elizabethtown, along with Kaitlin Nemec, GWAA. Danielle and Kaitlin enjoyed fireworks and festivities, and even got some time to meet with the youth leaders of Job's Daughters and DeMolay to discuss opportunities for a joint program in the coming year. To wrap up the busy weekend the girls attended a very special banquet.

Unbeknownest to Mrs. Snedden, Supreme Deputy, she was to be honored at the 100th Anniversary Banquet with the John Wanamaker Masonic Humanitarian Medal by Right Worshipful Grand Master Thomas K. Sturgeon. Mrs. Snedden is only the 8th recipient of this honor since it's inception in 1993, and she is certainly very deserving!
